Terschelling is an island I discovered several years ago and it’s one of the few places in the Netherlands where you can actually not encounter a single human being for a while. It’s one of the small islands in the North of the Netherlands and if I feel like just being away from it all, this island offers fresh air and peace. A day of biking from one end of the island to the other, flying a kite on one of the many long, wide beaches, or just enjoying a nice hot chocolate in one of the many cozy cafes… Just a few hours from home and you’re away from it all.
